-Today we had our first awesome girl, good guy talk-KS
-This afternoon, we continued the division math story and some of us that were finished played the sheep dice game-SR -This morning, we had inquiry-AG -In the afternoon, we did 3 rounds of daily five-AK Reminders -Hi guys, COSTUMES!!! The Jungle Book performance is quickly approaching. Students will be having an opportunity to add some flair to their jungle outfit. We ask that all students at Eric Harvie School do their very best to bring in a solid green, brown or tan shirt. Shirts that have a decal or writing, will be turned inside out to be solid coloured. We will be pinning and/or tacking items to these shirts (so don't bring your favorite shirt). Please label your name and teacher on your shirts inside with masking tape. Shirts will stay at school until all performances are complete on May 17. Please bring your shirt to school by May 2. Thank you ***If you are a key character who has been apart of Tuesday after school practices - your costume details will be different and will be sent home separately. If you have any questions please email Mrs. Coulson -Student Led Learning Walk is tomorrow at 6:15. Please try to come!

-This morning, we worked on our student led learning walk-WA -Today, we had a fire drill without us knowing!-SP - Today we went outside- RT Reminders -Jungle Book: PLEASE BRING IN A GREEN SHIRT BY WEDNESDAY May 2 IF YOU ARE A PART OF THE JUNGLE :) -On Tuesday May 1, we have our student led learning walk -Please bring in stuff (fabric or anything you can donate) for the jungle book if you have any -Have a good weekend! -Today, we had inquiry-AG
-This afternoon, we had our class and single pictures!-CH -At lunch time, we had fun lunch. We had Jugo Juice-SR, LW -In gym, we played a game called Swedish Baseball, this time we added cones to run to and back, and the balls have to be put on the same cone each time-KS -During Music, we talked more about costumes and we practiced 2 songs-KD Reminders -COSTUMES!!! -In gym, we played Swedish baseball and we had to hit a dodge ball off a cone with a baseball bat-SC -We had inquiry today-SZ -In the afternoon, we read one chapter of the Wild Robot-AK Reminders -Class photos will be taken on Thursday 26th. If you will not be at school, you may post-pone. -Parents: The Costume Committee for the upcoming Jungle Book performance are desperately looking for donations of the following to support in outfitting our students: -Solid Colour sheets (any colour) -Fake Plants (that can be cut up) -Ikea Tunnels -Paper Lanterns -Leftover Fabric -Felt -Solid colour streamers (crepe paper – for parties) -Rope - Or anything unique you think would work for jungle book costumes or set. Thank you for your support! -The Eco Team and The Peace Ambassadors have been invited to represent Eric Harvie School on May 3rd at the Arbor Day Ceremony at Tuscany School. If your student is in one of these two clubs we will be walking down to Tuscany school after lunch, singing in their gala event and then heading back to school. Your student will be working on the song, Plant a Tree For Your Tomorrow by John Denver. They understand that this may involve greeting people at the door as well as moving props, and set pieces. A few students have been selected from this list to help with lights as well. Your student is still needed at both performances that their class is putting on. Please make note if your student’s name is on the list below. -Today in P.E., it was our last day to do the obstacle course AG -In Inquiry, some of us worked on our videos and others worked on citing their sources CH -During Math, we learned a new division strategy. -We had a presentation for Marty Chan, an author TF -Today, we did Math and we practiced our Fact Family division strategy AG -During Inquiry, we shared what we had produced so far RG -In Phys. Ed., there was an obstacle course that we had to go through LS Reminders -No school on Friday (PD Day) -Grade 4 students will be bringing home an information pamphlet for TMC, please check it out -Thursday is the Glow Party! Marty Chan loves to write. Before he became a kids’ author, he worked in theatre, radio, and television. Now his passion is inspiring the next generation of lifelong readers and writers. Using a combination of storytelling, improv, humour, and stage magic, he shares his love of words with audiences young and old. Attached is an order form for Marty’s books that will be available for purchase. The school will take book orders up until Friday, April 27th. Marty will personally autograph each book. Delivery of purchased books will be in mid- May. When purchasing books please complete order form and include it with payment (exact amount of cash or cheques made out to Eric Harvie School Enhancement Society) in an envelope with child’s name and homeroom teacher written on the outside of the envelope.
