Halloween occurs on Tuesday, October 31 and we are going to try and honour the fun of the celebration while keeping things a bit low key since we are so busy already! HALLOWEEN GUIDLINES Students are invited to wear their costumes all day on Tuesday if they choose, with a couple of restrictions - no masks or weapons, please, and we would ask that face paint be kept to a minimum during the school day so it does not interfere with the children's learning. There will be no whole school event to recognize Halloween as we are certain children will be looking forward to engaging with their families in all the trick or treating events that evening. Classrooms will include some Halloween-themed activities through the day as the teachers and students feel appropriate to their classroom. The fun and excitement of Halloween is something the school is happy to celebrate and share with our students in the context of learning and building peaceful communities together. Looks like next week might be just a little calmer than this week as we say good-bye to October and acknowledge another celebration of costumes, fun and trick-or-treating!
