Reminders...--> Jungle Book: Please check your email or the school website for ticket order forms. --> For evening performances of the JUNGLE BOOK, please have your student arrive 30 mins prior to the performance so that we can get costumes and make-up done! Tuesday May 15th Matinee – 9:45-10:45 Evening – show begins 6:30-7:30 (AMK, Scott, Cox, Simmons, Zadran, Neily) Wednesday May 16th Matinee – 1:30-2:30 – Evening show begins 6:30-7:30 (PMK, Dunmire, Bates/Zwack, Kelly, Ross, Le) Thursday May 17th Matinee – 1:30-2:30 – Evening show begins 6:30-7:30 (Campbell, Huebner, Chang, Fournier, Low, Slot, Day) All principal cast must be present at all shows. These are any characters that have speaking lines as well as, Vultures, wolves, elephants, jungle speakers and monkeys. Al of these students are in grade 3/4. If you are not sure if this is your student than please email and ask Mrs.Coulson. Our Day in Our Words...Today in Jungle book I was working back stage as part of the second group. I had to carry props and I almost tripped over back stage and on stage I kicked one over. We also had to dance on stage as monkeys! PBK
In Math we got make pizzas for fractions. We chose toppings and I chose cheese, bacon, pineapple, sauce, pepperoni, and stuffed crust! Warning! It was not real! AR In our pizza fractions, I put on some cotton candy, MnMs, raw fish, barf sauce, nails, rotten watermelon and black widows. CG For gym we had to go outside and everyone was cold. We played Swedish baseball. Running made ourselves warm. NK Today when we were doing our Alberta Regions, me and LW finished the 3D part and the decorating part. XZ

Reminders..Hi parents, There was a sign –up genius posted for parent volunteers to help get costumes on and face paint before every performance. NK Today in inquiry we we're practicing our puppet shows and we figured out a tiny bit more into our scene when Lilly gets stuck in the seaweed. PBK Today in music we watched a movie called, "Sing" I liked it but we didn't finish it. MM Sing is about a koala and he really likes the stage and he hosts the competition. Sing is my favorite movie! CH Today for inquiry we were working on our puppets and my group recorded our show. So next we have to show it to the class! Our Day in Our Words...Today at the beginning of the day a police man came and his name was CNST Will and he taught us how to make the right decisions for our class and school. At the end he picked a girl in our class to read a book he had brought and after we read the book he asked questions about the book and then we went outside to have a break. AH Today in math we had 2 sticky notes one we had to write what we knew what fractions were and then we another one that we wrote of a fraction around the room and we had to answer it and put it on the board. AA Today Ms. Kinsman was suppose to come but she couldn't so we worked on our puppets and my group was practicing on the projector. EL Today we were suppose to read a wrinkle in time with Ms. kinsman but she had to do something else so we had to finish up our stuff and I choose to finish up my timeline writeup and I only have one last chapter and it is the shortest chapter and i can't wait to finish it and print it! Today we did our word check in and last time I got a 3/13 but today I got a 9/13 :) XZ Today was hats on for mental health day and there were lots and lots of hats. I wore my favorite hat which I never used to like when I was little. KSB In gym today we played fitness tag in the beginning of gym and at the end we played pinball and there were two teams and each team was trying to knock over the other players pins. RLM In one of the games there was only one pin left in my team and basically everyone on the team was guarding at and eventually we got all the other pins down! :) SCC Today in girl power I made a really cool doodle in my book. The Jungle Book performance is quickly approaching. Students will be having an opportunity to add some flair to their jungle outfit. We ask that all students at Eric Harvie School do their very best to bring in a solid green, brown or tan shirt. Shirts that have a decal or writing, will be turned inside out to be solid coloured. We will be pinning and/or tacking items to these shirts (so don't bring your favorite shirt). Please label your name and teacher on your shirts inside with masking tape. Shirts will stay at school until all performances are complete on May 17. Please bring your shirt to school by May 2. Thank you RemindersBring back your movie Wonder forms. HS Today we did our shadow timeline and we picked all the things that are important in Canada and we had to write about them and tell about them. For inquiry we are doing a timeline for an important thing that happened in Canada and I am looking at Quebec's culture. NK I am working on when Canada's flag was made. KSB Today in daily 5 Ms. Scott and Dunmire gave us a little booklet on how to make a comic book and some of us wanted one and some of us didn't. BA Today after lunch we worked on our puppets and we got a lot done and now we are on one of the last steps on organizing our story events. MS Today in gym we played a game there was 2 teams, one team had to catch the ball and the other team had to bat the ball. We were sketching shadows, We were taking pictures of face to show different shadows on our faces. When we were done taking the pictures we took pictures of different nature shadows. We were also in groups of 3. XZ CH Today we had Ms. Kinsman read with us BM We had two guests at the Coulee walk, Elija and Eva and Elija was telling us how to take pictures of our faces. AH Today we were going to start a new project called the "Canadian Shadow Timeline" we are going to pick an event and event that happened in Canada give details about it and say why it is important. HS When we came back from the morning we had lunch and we had 2 rounds of daily 5 in the afternoon instead of in the morning and Ms. Scott and Ms. Dunmire picked people to read with. I read with Ms. Scott and I read a book called "Amazing Animal Adaptations". AM During daily 5 I also read the same book "Amazing Animal Adaptations". PBK We are starting to work on our shadow puppets R.M. and I are doing an alien story! NK Talk and Extend...Why is it important to give full detail descriptions for your shadow puppets?
