This morning we continued to work on our Coulee Stories. We are taking next steps to develop the main actions of our story. We had lesson 2 of our HS program for grade 4's and there is a homework sheet to go over and discuss with a parent this evening. Please keep these sheets at home after your discussion. The grade 3's continued to work with Mr. Kelly on their Nutrition Unit. This afternoon we worked on a visual journal page to document our Simple Machine Challenge. In math we practiced the strategy of subtracting using expanded notation, then continued to plan out our day of gaining and draining energy points. It was breezy outside but we enjoyed an outside break on the field and playground. In inquiry we were presented with the challenge for our Simple Machine Challenge. The criteria: you have to move a rock 50cm (vertical OR horizontal) using atleast 2 simple machines together to create a complex machine. Note: Please return Reader Rock Garden forms It is time for us to return to the learning commons and the home reading exchange cart. We have been very busy over the past ten months and we loved spending time with you. It is time for us to rest until all the students come back to school in September. We have really enjoyed being a part of your reading lives but Mrs. Carde and Mrs. Bowles need to make sure that we are repaired and well rested so we can be back in your hands next year. If we belong in the learning commons please put us into the book exchange slot. If we are a home reading book please put us in the correct bin in the Hub. Thank you Your friends, 📕The Books📒 June 26 is Sports Day and we need volunteers to help out. Last year was a huge success because of the volunteer turnout. Hopefully we can repeat that success and make it even more of a success this year. Please check out the School Council Sign Up Genius to volunteer. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080d44afab28abf94-sports1
