Mr. Kelly's group went t9 Reader Rock Garden. It was a beautiful day! And so interesting! Did you know that Thomas Quirk has the only above ground grave site in Union Cemetery. He was a dentist who promised painless dental visits and was the first dentist to keep records. Sadly, he was involved in an accident with a horse and carriage. He was a young man in his early thirties. Years later someone broke into hie crypt and stole his skull and thanks to the dental records that Thomas kept police were able to identify his skull while investigating a suspect of another crime. Albert and Vera Dick were survived the sinking of the Titanic. Mrs. Zwack/Mrs. Bates class had the pleasure of hearing a story from Mrs. Kinsman this morning and exploring books in the learning commons. They glued some things into their visual journals and had gym outside.
In the afternoon we explored fractions using our fraction kits and a story. We also had some fun exploring animation! Reminders: If you would like Menchie's Yogurt for Sports Day you need to order on Healthy Hunger by tomorrow.

The plants the kids brought home are an outdoor perennial called coral bells. They have pretty little flowers. The gardener told us that they can thrive in conditions from full sun to part shade.
