Updates...Tomorrow night is our Family Math Night! See you tomorrow at 6pm! What do you notice?We looked at art work today that had repeated rows of objects. Students were asked to create their own mini piece of art using stamps. Students were asked to use 10 rows and 10 columns and asked to record their observations using words, pictures and numbers. How can you explain what you see? What you notice?

What is a natural resource?Students explored the idea of natural resources today - what is a natural resource? What are the things we use every day made of? Is there anything in our world that doesn't have some sort of natural resource in it? What are some examples? Non-examples? Exploring number in Windows We read Windows today and were challenged to create mathematical connections to the windows in the book. We created our own buildings with windows and gave a partner clues to guess how many windows we drew. Ex. It has ___ rows, ___ columns, it is an odd number. We are looking at groups of objects from different perspectives and trying to define how to organize information. Students were asked to challenge someone at home with the same activity.
