Whether it an apple, a banana, a potato or spinach.....good food comes in its' own package. If there's a box or wrapper or plastic container, it is made primarily of chemicals and artificial fillers. Fuel up with real food. Food that grows in the sunshine and rain. And after being picked arrives at your grocery store, in its' own skin. Developing number sense...Students were challenged to show their thinking today using words, pictures and numbers. Students were engaged in showing numbers in different equal groups and showing how many different ways a number can be made. Students used white boards, blocks, counters and whatever else they needed in order to show their thinking. A question that emerged was: Is it possible to divide an odd number into equal parts? How can symbols tell a story? As we further to connect to this place and the land students were asked to tell the story of their sit spot using only symbols. How do symbols hold meaning?
