Updates...A green lunch hour sport club form was sent home today. The club is for grade 3/4 students only right now. Please return the forms as soon as you can and no later than November 30, 2017 if your child would like to participate. Plant ObservationsWe were very excited to observe the changes in our plants today. Some students had to replant because their seeds were not growing either due to being watered too much or planted in soil that was packed too tight. We learned that too much water isn't ideal for growing, and that soil that is packed too tight can hinder the shoot from sprouting. We also spent our Daily 5 read to self time, reading to our plants! Patterns, Patterns, PatternsWe shared our increasing patterns with the class today. Students worked in groups to create increasing sound patterns. They recorded them on ipads and we were able to compare patterns by watching them together and discussing pattern elements. Students went on to create number patterns, challenging one another to guess the missing numbers.
