Bike to School Day: June 5, 2018On June 5th, a huge group of schools and thousands of students, more than ever, will be biking to their schools- participating in Calgary Bike to School Day. The mission of this event is to promote healthy active lifestyles in youth and that it can also be fun to participate in. EHS students showed their active transportation last year. Let's do it again this year, but make it bigger. Hopefully Bike to School Day will be every day. It is a great way to be active and healthy. Check out this website for more information: http://calgarybiketoschool.weebly.com/ Lost and FoundOur lost and found is over flowing; we would love to see hoodies, sweaters and scarves returned to their rightful owners. Lost and found items have been displayed in the school several times this year, and will be ready for viewing again during the volunteer tea. Please stop by to claim any missing favourites. Unclaimed items will be donated on June 1st. A glimpse of our day...We added some detailed sketching as part of our reflections on Head Smashed-In Buffalo Jump. We also explored fractions through creating a design. Students expressed the colours in their design using fractions and some students challenged themselves with adding fractions together. We started to read the book, Wishtree but Katherine Applegate, and wrote down some of our own wishes. Upcoming Field TripsMay 30th - Huebner to Niitsitapi Aboriginal Learning Centre (am only)
